Bookkeeper

Our client seeks Bookkeeper to join their Family Office on the Isle of Man. Key Responsibilities: Daily postings of supplier invoices, interbank transfers, cash receipts and payments for all Isle of Man Companies. Daily postings of the Isle of Man Partnerships and Trusts. Posting of investment portfolios and being familiar with posting multi-currency transactions. Preparation of the quarterly VAT returns and liaising with Customs and Excise. Preparation of monthly payment run, keying in payments to the banking system and posting them to the accounting system. Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations for all Isle of Man Companies. Assisting with posting of the daily cash fund Assisting in the preparation of the year end accounts. Assist with ad hoc project work. Ensure service standards and company policies and procedures are adhered to. Key Skills and Experience: AAT or equivalent qualification or someone working towards this qualification. Alternatively, a relevant bookkeeping qualification would be essential with experience working in a bookkeeping / assistant accountant role. Ideally have a working knowledge of Sage accounts software although training will be given on this so is not essential. A good knowledge and ability to work with Excel is essential. Confidentiality is key to this role so the candidate must have a professional outlook and understanding of the importance of confidentiality. The role is to fit into a small team and therefore an ability to adapt to the team dynamics is essential.
