We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our small, island-wide team delivering essential water services. In this hands-on role, you will help maintain and improve the water network by carrying out activities such as safe excavation, laying and repairing mains and services, disinfecting pipework, and responding to bursts and leaks. You’ll also be involved in routine maintenance tasks including isolating and recharging mains, flushing systems, and detecting and preventing water loss, while ensuring high standards of customer service, environmental responsibility, and safety.
The ideal candidate will be a positive team player with experience in groundworks or civil works and a strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing. You should be organised, dependable, and capable of working from risk assessments and method statements. Good basic literacy and numeracy skills are essential, along with the ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces. A sound knowledge of the Island’s geography and a proactive, collaborative approach will help you succeed in this varied and rewarding role.
