This is a varied role which will involve assisting with the day-to-day running of the shop, dealing with customers, supporting stock control, and helping with the purchasing of goods for the business. The successful applicant will be expected to provide a high standard of customer service and to take a practical and flexible approach to general shop duties.
The business works with a diverse supplier base, and the role will involve frequent travel to the UK to negotiate with suppliers and collect stock. Applicants must therefore be willing and able to travel as required and must have their own transport. All authorised travel costs will be reimbursed.
A full, clean Isle of Man and/or UK driving licence is required. Previous experience in retail, buying, stock control or supplier liaison would be an advantage, although consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate good communication skills, reliability and a willingness to learn.
Given the nature of the supplier base, Middle and Far Eastern language skills would be an advantage, but are not essential.
