Graylaw International Freight Group is looking for an experienced and motivated Class 1 Lead Driver to take a hands-on leadership role within our Transport & Distribution operation.
This is not simply a driving position. We are looking for someone who understands freight and retail distribution, enjoys supporting other drivers and can bring practical operational experience to the team.
The successful candidate will remain an active driver and should be prepared to work flexibly across the operation. While holding a Class 1 licence is essential, there should be no issue working across all vehicle classes, including Class 2 and van work, where this is what the operation or customer requires.
The Lead Driver will help set the standard for the driving team, providing practical guidance, supporting effective route planning, promoting good defect-management practices and ensuring that vehicles are used safely, efficiently and appropriately.
