Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Island Drainage & Groundwork Ltd are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work alongside and support our Senior Quantity Surveyor, assisting with and managing a varied range of important commercial responsibilities.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to develop your commercial experience across a wide variety of civil engineering sectors.

The successful candidate will be involved in valuations and variations, compiling tender submissions, pricing and estimating, procurement of materials, site visits, monitoring progress and managing smaller projects, supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with commercial management and general commercial and administrative duties.

The role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and professional office environment, whilst also gaining valuable hands-on experience across a diverse range of civil engineering projects.

About you
The successful candidate will have previous commercial experience within the civil engineering or construction industry, hold an HNC in Construction, a Degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar relevant qualification, have a full, clean driving licence, have good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
