We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QC Analyst to join our Quality Control team. Reporting to the QC Manager, you will support manufacturing activities through the testing of raw materials, intermediates and finished products, as well as stability studies and environmental monitoring programmes.

This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards while supporting manufacturing schedules, product release activities and customer commitments. You will also provide analytical support to Technology Transfer (TT), Research & Development (R&D) and other departments across the business.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of laboratory-based testing activities using approved procedures and analytical techniques, including chromatography, spectroscopy, microbiological testing and environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and purified water systems. You will maintain accurate GMP-compliant documentation, support equipment maintenance and calibration activities, manage laboratory reagents and consumables, and contribute to laboratory housekeeping and organisation.

In addition, you will support investigations relating to out-of-specification results, deviations, change controls and corrective actions, while working collaboratively with colleagues across Quality, Manufacturing and other functions. You will also be expected to support the development of colleagues through training, coaching and sharing technical knowledge where required.

To be successful in this role, you will have at least one year's experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or fine chemical industry and a good understanding of GMP principles, Quality Management Systems, pharmacopoeial requirements and ICH guidelines. Experience using techniques such as HPLC, GC, AKTA, TLC, UV-Visible Spectroscopy, titrations, bioburden and endotoxin testing is desirable, along with experience of environmental monitoring activities.

You will possess strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, particularly for preparing scientific documentation and working with cross-functional teams and external laboratory partners.

The role is primarily laboratory-based, with approximately 80% of your time spent in the laboratory and 20% undertaking office-based activities. Flexibility to support occasional overtime or weekend working may be required to meet business needs.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a quality-focused organisation where you can develop your technical expertise, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and play an important role in delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
