Private Housekeeper

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and highly organised Private Housekeeper to join a busy family household in Douglas.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in maintaining a home to an exceptional standard and enjoys a varied role where they can work independently and take ownership of their responsibilities.

The position is within a large private family home and will involve high-standard housekeeping and cleaning, laundry and ironing, clothing care, preparation and organisation of school uniforms, changing beds and managing household linen, keeping wardrobes, cupboards and household areas organised, grocery shopping, managing household supplies and deliveries, and some light household administration.

We are looking for someone who is naturally proactive and organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to recognise what needs to be done without requiring constant direction.

Discretion and trustworthiness are extremely important. The successful candidate will be respectful of the family's privacy, dependable, professional and comfortable working independently within a private home.

Previous experience within a private household, professional housekeeping, hotel housekeeping or a high-standard domestic environment would be highly desirable.

We are happy to consider different working patterns and can offer flexibility around hours for the right person. However, availability for a half-day on Saturday is essential.

A full driving licence is essential due to the nature of the position.
