Wastewater Network Supervisor

This role is responsible for supervising the operation and maintenance of the Island’s wastewater network, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery while promoting Manx Utilities’ values, policies, and health and safety standards. The position involves leading and supporting frontline teams, allocating workloads, monitoring performance, managing training needs, approving timesheets and leave, procuring materials and equipment, and maintaining effective communication between management and staff. The supervisor is also expected to undertake operational tasks, inspect wastewater infrastructure projects, assist with maintenance planning, generate operational reports, and contribute to emergency response activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of wastewater infrastructure, civil engineering, and construction practices, along with proven supervisory experience, strong communication and leadership skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to work safely in challenging environments, including confined spaces, out-of-hours duties, and emergency callouts.
