Tax Assistant Tax Business Partner

We are recruiting for a Group Assistant Tax Business Partner to join our client's tax team, supporting the completion of tax compliance work and the development of junior team members. The role involves managing a portfolio of trust and company clients to ensure all tax compliance and reporting obligations are completed accurately and within statutory filing deadlines. You will prepare and review group tax reporting requirements including Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax, ATED, Inheritance Tax returns, RISPG calculations and VAT, with potential to develop expertise in other areas and jurisdictions. You will review work completed by trainee and junior colleagues, providing technical guidance, coaching and constructive feedback, and assist in overseeing workflow allocation and task prioritisation within the tax team. You will also review trust and company accounts from a tax perspective to identify tax risks, monitor compliance deadlines, act as a point of reference for tax queries across the organisation, liaise with clients and professional advisers on tax matters, and support fee quotation, budgeting and billing processes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' relevant tax experience, strong technical knowledge of UK taxation, and excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities. ATT, STEP or ACCA qualification is preferred, with CTA studies commenced or willingness to pursue further qualifications being desirable.
