Our client seeks a Paraplanner to join their team. Role Profile: Work with the Financial Planner/Adviser & complete non-client facing tasks involved in preparing & administering Financial Plans or Reports for clients. Key areas of the role include: Preparing & maintaining the client file: confirming risk profiles & clients’ objectives, identifying information, compiling a cash flow analysis. Organising recommendations: identifying areas for planning, carrying out research to find solutions, considering asset allocations & investment strategies, preparing recommendation reports. Implementing recommendations: preparing suitability letters, completing application forms, ensuring all compliance paperwork is in order, implementing plans. Reviewing client files, portfolios, products & processes: attending & organising meetings, reviewing portfolios, initiating review meetings. Key Responsibilities: The Paraplanner will work as part of a team alongside the adviser & the administrator to provide the client with a professional ongoing Financial Planning experience. Individual Financial Planners & Advisers require slightly different things from their Paraplanners, however there will be the following core requirements: Report writing. Analysing statistics. Conducting research for appropriate providers & investments. Create, prepare, implement & review a client’s financial plan & advice. Other day-today tasks may include: Conducting due diligence/compliance checking. Research into the latest financial products, investment funds & industry areas. Looking at bonds. Crunching numbers Keeping up to date with regulatory changes Attending client meetings with the financial planner. Preparing cash flow forecasts to demonstrate the client’s income & outgoings & how this impacts their plans. Researching tax & legislation changes & how this impacts clients Preparing financial plan & advice/recommendation reports for clients. Answering technical queries. The Paraplanner can & will be asked to undertake various other tasks depending on what is required by the adviser or the company. Key Skills & Experience: Our client is open to candidates of varying levels of experience, & therefore the role could take the form of any of the following: Support Paraplanner: 1 - 2 years’ experience, Certificate in Financial Planning Paraplanner: 3 - 5 years’ experience, some Diploma level Qualifications Senior Paraplanner: 5+ years’ experience, Full Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Certified. Excellent report writing skills. Ability to analyse statistics. Ability to conduct research for appropriate providers & investments. Good understanding of compliance issues.
