Our client seeks a Marketing Officer to join their team. Role: This is a broad role that encompasses the many facets of pulling together the marketing, new business & outward facing model that the Senior Management Team (“SMT”) wish to move to. This is going to be an interesting & varied role that is being started from scratch. You will be able to influence or design the future for their marketing. It suits a self-starter who will use their own initiative to design ways of delivering on the above aspects of the role & any other ideas to further the company’s reach & ultimately bring more clients to what they believe is a good offering. It would suit someone who is able to turn their hand to various facets of the role & manage competing interests simultaneously. Key Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy The drafting & design of a marketing strategy. Ongoing maintenance & review of said strategy with reporting to the Board of Directors. Client / Intermediaries Outreach: Design an outreach programme for the SMT to execute with both COVID & post COVID plans i.e. with & without physical meetings/flights. These are existing clients & intermediaries. This programme must be prioritised toward those who feed new business to maintain & increase. Social Media: Not limited to social media, the company has a website & LinkedIn profile & an unused Facebook page. A co-ordinated & linked up approach to their outward facing media. Managing channels & producing relevant content that would appeal to intermediaries, clients & perhaps future employees. They are part of the community & share their staff successes as well their modest sponsorship at local level. Sourcing New Leads: Using new & different techniques to cast the proverbial net further afield in times where travel is difficult or non-existent, to create warm leads on intermediaries around the world. Whether through scraping or other means of achieving such leads this may be done on a jurisdictional basis or other such rational basis. All of this to line up a cost effective visit plan, when borders open fully, for the SMT to execute. New Business: Dealing with New Business enquiries to be able to understand the process, the requirements & tracking them to conclusion. Pulling together statistics showing enquiries, successes & any reasons for failure. A comprehensive follow up strategy to understand any growth opportunities or any way the company can improve their landing the business successfully. Acquisitions: The company has an acquisition strategy supported by the shareholders. This may be identifying jurisdictions of interest, mail shots, approaches to identify possible targets.
