Hospitality is a fantastic, diverse, and fulfilling industry and there has never been a better time to be part of it. Meet people, make friends, learn new skills, and gain experience that you will be with you a lifetime. There are few other industries where the route from waiter or kitchen porter to managerial levels is so accessible in a relatively short space of time.r
There is a thriving dining out scene on the island and Peel, we think, is the place to be. This is your opportunity to be part of something special. The Boatyard Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its coastal interior vibe, incredible food (have you tried our Queenie Pancake!!) and drink, views of the surrounding harbour and an escape from the pressures of life (sipping a cocktail watching the yachts gliding by). r
Shaking up cocktails, serving fine wines, or popping the cork on a champagne bottle, the bar is a vibrant and enjoyable role. You will also be preparing our hand crafted hot drinks, serving to tables and preparing pre-meal nibbles for our customers. There is always something to learn, contributing to new cocktail and drink ideas, and perfecting your latte art! As our bar is also at the front entrance, you will be one of the first and last to greet our guests. Providing a friendly welcome as they begin and end their dining experience. r
Whilst bar and drink knowledge is a plus, the most important qualities are a friendly smile, self motivation and a positive attitude to work. We will provide on the job training to provide you will the necessary skills to be the best you can. r
We offer excellent rates of pay, generous share of tips, staff discounts at our restaurants and holiday pay. r
The bar is at its busiest evenings and weekends, which is where most of the shifts will be available. Other shifts may be available to cover lunchtimes. r
Owing to the nature of the role, preparing and serving alcohol, the minimum age for applicants is 18+r
