Woodbourne Kitchen is seeking a Functions & Events Sous Chef to join our growing events team, delivering quality food for a wide variety of occasions from in and out of house catering for weddings, meetings, and private events, to preparing our popular retail food range. This is a diverse role with plenty of variety day to day.
The role is based in our central production kitchen in Douglas, with some off-site cooking and service depending on the event.
We offer competitive rates of pay (based on experience) and staff discount across all brands: Café 360, Greens Café, and Woodbourne Deli.
Within this role you will be expected to prepare menu items to a high standard, working efficiently in both prep and live service environments. Maintain hygiene and food safety standards at all times with flexibility to adapt to different events and group sizes. You will need to collaborate with front-of-house and planning teams for smooth service.
Please note: This role may involve evening and weekend work, particularly during peak times.
About you:
Previous experience in an event or catering kitchen is essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working solo or as part of a small team, and should be enthusiastic about food and hospitality.
