Nursery Cook - Woodbourne Road Douglas

We are seeking a confident and capable Cook to join our nursery team at Woodbourne Road in Douglas. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking nutritious, balanced meals for children aged 2 to 5 years old.
You'll be preparing food for up to 72 children each day, catering for a wide range of dietary requirements and allergies. You'll take the lead in maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment and will play a key role in promoting healthy eating throughout the nursery.
What We're Looking For: A genuine passion for cooking and an interest in children's nutrition. Experience in a similar role, ideally in a nursery or school setting. Good communication and time-management skills. A Level 2 (or higher) Food Hygiene Certificate. A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work independently. Confidence in managing food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in a busy kitchen.
Desirable: Experience creating menus or working with allergy-specific diets. A willingness to bring creativity and new ideas to our food offering.
