Our client seeks a Part time Governance and Risk Manager for 25 hours per week (flexible). Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all applicable existing and potential laws and regulations affecting the Group Advise upon practical solutions for structuring agreements and transactions within applicable laws and regulations: Liaise with 3rd parties as necessary including Group lawyers and Government departments. Manage licence arrangements affecting Group Companies Manage and advise upon dispute resolution affecting Group Companies Advise on compliance issues in foreign jurisdictions where Group Companies operate, including the USA. Manage inter-Company Service Agreements. Manage the Group Risk Register and Business Continuity Plans. Advise upon Governance Framework, including Code of Conduct and other relevant policies. Advise on risks where appropriate Manage Group Insurance arrangements, including renewals and claims Maintain and update the Producer Rulebook, ensuring alignment with industry standards and Group objectives. Draft, review and manage contracts with suppliers, customers, and third-party service providers. Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory and commercial requirements Check that all Board minutes have been signed and saved as appropriate. Prepare and submit annual returns to regulatory bodies. Oversee VAT returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. Manage administration of USA Companies. Inter-company leases and service agreements. Leases with 3rd parties. Property regulatory requirements such as planning permissions, licence requirements and wayleaves Act as the Group's Data Protection Officer. Ensure compliance with Group procedures. Maintain and oversee compliance with data protection regulations. Update and maintain the Company Information page within Microsoft SharePoint. Carry out internal audits as required, including identifying and advising on corrective actions where appropriate. Key Skills & Experience: 3+ years proven experience in a compliance, governance, or quality management role. Strong knowledge of Isle of Man regulations and standards, including data protection. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office. ICSA qualified or part-qualified or similar would be desirable. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret regulatory requirements. The ability to draft contracts and clauses. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. The ability to communicate risk and provide reasoned judgment to senior level A respect and understanding of confidentiality when handling sensitive information A flexible attitude, willingness to adapt and manage fluctuating workloads.
