Junior Trader

Our clients seeks a Junior Trader to join their trading team. You will undergo a comprehensive training program that combines hands-on experience with formal coursework. This program is designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively support Senior Traders. The primary goal for the Junior Trader is to prepare themselves for advancement into a full Trader role, where they will take on greater responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Responsibilities: Manage physical trade operations with a strong emphasis on grain origination. Assist Senior Traders in identifying, executing, and optimising P&L in cash trading. Execute Futures and FOREX transactions under the guidance of Senior Traders. Collaborate with operations, logistics, and freight teams to optimise contract execution. Analytical Responsibilities: Conduct market analysis in coordination with global product line leads. Contribute to supply and demand analysis in partnership with global product line leads. Participate in all in-house and external commercial interactions under the supervision of Senior Traders. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Ensure that information feedback loops are effectively communicated to all relevant internal parties. Key Skills and Experience: Preference will be given to candidates who hold commercial or similar degree or equivalent qualification. Preference will be given to candidates with some commercial experience within the agricultural markets. Neither of the above are essential for application. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and also as part of a team. Ability to multi task. Good organisational skills. Microsoft Office competent.
