Head of Compliance

We're now looking for a seasoned and commercially savvy Head of Compliance to lead the charge - someone who can see the big picture while keeping the details watertight.

The Role:

This is a mission-critical leadership role for a compliance expert who thrives in fast-paced, cross-jurisdictional environments. As our Head of Compliance and MLRO, you'll own the global compliance strategy, ensure we meet (and exceed) our regulatory obligations, and help embed responsible innovation into everything we do.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll lead the global compliance function, setting strategy across all markets, including licensing, AML/CTF, sanctions, and consumer protection. As the appointed MLRO, you'll handle suspicious activity reporting and maintain direct relationships with authorities.

You'll design and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework - covering policies, procedures, training, monitoring, and reporting. Leading the Responsible Play program, you'll ensure ethical standards are embedded across the business.

As the company grows, you'll scale the compliance team to maintain strong coverage and capabilities. You'll also manage relationships with regulators, licensing bodies, and auditors, acting as the external face of compliance.

Internally, you'll work closely with legal, product, risk, operations, and customer experience teams to ensure compliance is integrated into all decisions. You'll monitor regulatory changes, assess risk impact, and proactively advise stakeholders.

You'll develop company-wide training on compliance topics and manage incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and remediation. You'll also maintain strong controls in areas like CDD, EDD, and transaction monitoring.

A key part of your role will be promoting a culture of compliance that balances innovation with accountability, while leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and oversight.

What You'll Bring:

You have deep compliance experience, including as an MLRO, ideally in gaming, fintech, or regulated digital sectors. Your expertise spans AML/CTF, Responsible Play, data protection, and conduct risk, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations like POCA, GDPR, and FATF.

You've led licensing processes, audits, and regulatory engagements. You're a capable leader who knows how to build and scale effective teams, and you collaborate well across functions.

You're pragmatic, commercially aware, and comfortable in ambiguous environments. Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills are a must. Tech skills and certifications (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) are a plus.
