Database Administrator

Our client seeks a talented Database Administrator to join their team. You will become the guardian of the data environment. From managing mission-critical databases to ensuring rock-solid data security and storage, this is your chance to make a real impact in an exciting role. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL (all versions) databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security. MSSQL Server, Azure SQL and SQL Managed Services. Monitor and analyse Azure performance. Assist in the administration of Azure MySQL and Oracle databases. Work with third parties to monitor and control regular backups and recovery procedures for the entire IT landscape. Monitor database performance and assist in optimising queries for efficiency. Implement and maintain database security measures. Assist in database design and development tasks. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues. Collaborate with development and IT teams to support database needs. Document database configurations, processes, and procedures. Monitor and maintain DCRM space usage and the data storage and sharing strategy. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Basic knowledge of Azure MySQL and Oracle databases. Understanding of database backup and recovery procedures. Familiarity with database security practices. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or proven experience in the field. Experience with database performance tuning and optimisation. Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions. Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
