Ellan Vannin Home are seeking a dedicated kitchen assistant to join our team. The role is ideal for somebody with prior kitchen experience, a passion for cooking and a compassionate approach to working with the elderly. As part of this position, you will be responsible for cooking and working independently during shifts.
The role is for 20 hours per week working 5 afternoons.
Key responsibilities include Cooking and preparing meals in line with dietary guidelines ensuring quality. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations. Manage kitchen duties including dishwashing, cleaning and waste disposal. Interacting with residents in a friendly and compassionate manner, ensuring their dietary requirements and needs are met and supporting the team and report any issues or concerns as necessary.
