WhatJobs Limited is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing international business. Based in the Isle of Man, the role can be carried out remotely within the island or from our Castletown office, with regular collaboration with the wider team.

As Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping activities. You will oversee the full bookkeeping process, manage intercompany accounts, reconcile bank transactions, prepare monthly journal entries, and ensure timely payment of suppliers and wages. The role involves working closely with accountants in the Isle of Man, Ireland, the UK, and India to reconcile intercompany transactions, resolve queries, and provide accurate financial reporting. You will be expected to produce management reports, assist with year-end accounts, and present financial reports to the board when required.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and managing accounting software, particularly Xero, ensuring that all entries are accurate and reconciled across multiple currencies, including GBP, EUR, and USD. Regular tasks will include preparing VAT returns, updating cash flow forecasts, and assisting with budgeting and financial analysis. Strong Excel skills are essential for analysing financial data, creating reports, and streamlining processes. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. You should be proficient in Xero and Excel, with experience in VAT reporting, multi-currency transactions, and year-end processes. Experience working with CPAs or tax preparers and knowledge of intercompany reconciliations is advantageous.

In return, we offer a competitive salary, private healthcare, pension contributions, and opportunities for career growth within a collaborative and forward-thinking company.

If you are proactive, highly organised, and ready to play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of a growing international business, we encourage you to apply with your CV and cover letter to: MICHELLE@WHATJOBS.COM
