As a Commercial HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial buildings. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure that all HVAC systems operate efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and heating equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and system schematics. Monitor refrigerant levels and perform leak tests in compliance with environmental regulations. Work with building management systems (BMS) to optimize system performance. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. ollaborate with other trades, such as electricians and plumbers, to complete projects efficiently. Provide recommendations for system upgrades and improvements to clients. Maintain accurate service records and documentation of work completed.
Experience: 3 years of experience as an HVAC Engineer, preferably in a commercial setting.
Education: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
Certifications: F-Gas certification (Category 1) required. CSCS card or equalivant (preferred). Additional manufacturer or industry-specific training is a plus.
