As a Commercial Plumber, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing and repair of plumbing systems within commercial buildings, including offices, schools, hospitals, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with Regulations such as Health and Safety and Approved Codes of Practice while delivering high-quality workmanship.
Install and commission new plumbing systems, including water distribution, heating, sanitary ware, pipework, drainage, and plantroom equipment. Perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plumbing systems. Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently to minimise downtime and disruption. Inspect, test and service equipment in line with industry standards. Ensure compliance with relevant water legislation. Complete documentation such as commissioning records, service reports, and compliance certificates. Work in accordance with Legionella prevention guidance. Follow safe systems of work and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience & registered with local authority as a Commercial Plumbing.
Education: 5 GCSE's or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
Certifications: NVQ L2 or higher, or similar such as City & Guild certification in Commercial Plumbing Systems. OFTEC certification desirable. Gas Safe certification desirable. ACoP L8 awareness desirable.
