Multi-Skilled Operative

As a Multi-Skilled Operative, you will be responsible to provide a high-quality, responsive, and cost-effective maintenance service across a range of building disciplines. The Multi-Skilled Operative will be responsible for carrying out general repairs, preventative maintenance, and minor project works to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities: Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks across multiple trade areas (Hard and Soft landscaping works, wall partitioning repairs, ceilings repairs, floor covering repairs, 2nd fix joinery, painting, support trades and technicians). Respond to daily job requests including minor repairs, furniture moves, lock changes, other related issues. Carry out inspections of site facilities and equipment, reporting faults or hazards. Assist with office and site moves, setting up meeting rooms and furniture assembly. Maintain tools, materials, and equipment in good working order and secure storage. Support contractors and external service providers as required on site.

Skills: Proven experience in a multi-skilled trade or building maintenance role. Competent in a variety of basic trades such as groundwork, joinery, decoration. Working knowledge of health and Safety - Manual Handling, COSHH, Working at height. Strong knowledge of maintenance disciplines. Fire door inspection, PAT testing qualification (optional).

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience working in similar roles or on construction sites.
Education: 5 GCSE's or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship desirable.
Certifications: NVQ Level 2 or above in a trade discipline (or equivalent experience).
