We are a Chinese takeaway shop looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter & Counter Assistant to join our team.
Main Responsibilities:
Assist in the kitchen with food preparation, cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining hygiene standards.
Handle counter service: take customer orders, process payments, and provide good customer service.
Pack and prepare takeaway orders accurately and efficiently.
Receive and store food deliveries, check stock, and keep the kitchen tidy.
Support chefs and team members with daily kitchen and counter tasks.
Requirements:
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work hard, handle pressure, and be physically fit for a busy takeaway environment.
Willingness to work afternoons to evenings, including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Full-time position: 40 hours per week.
Understanding spoken Chinese and knowledge of Chinese cuisine ingredients is an advantage, but not essential.
