Our client is seeking a Client Support Officer to join their Payments and Operations team for a fixed term contract. Key Responsibilities Ensure all transactions, payments and FX instructions (client, corporate and inter-bank) are carried out accurately, within permitted timescales and in accordance with processes and procedures, whilst adhering to AML/CFT regulatory requirements. Monitor the Payments mailbox, ensuring payment requests are moved to the appropriate folder for actioning within the relevant deadlines. Deal directly with internal/external banking clients, ensuring delivery of a quality and responsive service in respect of all their banking requirements. Respond to telephone queries and requests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Investigate payment queries and clear outstanding items on the recs, liaising with appropriate departments where necessary. Undertake various account administration tasks including closures, standing orders, audits and updating customer records. Ensure all items in the relevant folders have been actioned and that all payments have been completed/accounted for at the end of the day. Assume responsibility for running client statements on a monthly/quarterly basis as appropriate and arrange for them to be posted in a timely manner. Plan and co-ordinate own work, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met. Undertake a diverse range of ad-hoc tasks as required. Key Skills & Experience: Minimum GCSE or equivalent standard (passes in Mathematics and English Language preferred).Banking/financial services experience is preferred but not essential. A good working knowledge of domestic and non-domestic payments, banking systems and procedures. A practical understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) policies and practises. Good verbal and written skills with strong attention to detail. Experience in using standard Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook. A team player with the ability to work closely with others to meet shared deadlines and objectives.
