Food & Beverage Assistant-Casual

Key Responsibilities:
Lead by example in creating a warm, welcoming, and professional environment for all guests across restaurant, bar, and event areas.
Oversee the smooth and timely seating of guests and ensure high standards of guest engagement are upheld at all times.
Proactively manage guest requests and resolve queries or issues efficiently, ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently delivered.
Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, menus, specials, and allergens in order to confidently answer guest questions and support team training.
Supervise and support the taking and processing of orders, ensuring clear communication with kitchen and bar teams and timely, accurate delivery.
Monitor and ensure the efficient and safe service of all food and beverages, maintaining the highest standard of presentation and service.
Assist in leading the set-up, maintenance, and turnaround of dining areas to maximise operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Oversee cleanliness, presentation, and organisation of all F&B areas, taking initiative to address any issues and coordinating with housekeeping as needed.
Handle guest complaints professionally and effectively, escalating where appropriate and ensuring follow-up to guarantee guest satisfaction.
Ensure all financial procedures including cash handling, float management, and till operations are carried out accurately and in line with company standards.
Assist in coordinating preparation and service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and event functions, aligning team resources with business levels.
Support and guide team members in delivering events and private functions, ensuring service expectations are met or exceeded.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen and bar teams, ensuring full compliance with hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations.
Identify and report any maintenance, cleanliness, or service issues in front-of-house areas.
Take an active role in mentoring junior team members, supporting training initiatives, and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Restaurant & Bar Manager or other senior leaders within the department.
