Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our Kitchen Team. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, thrive under pressure, and maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety while delivering creative, fresh, and locally inspired menus.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Lead a team of chefs and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.

Create seasonal menus using fresh, high quality, local ingredients.

Oversee food preparation and presentation to a high standard.

Ensure full compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.

Maintain cleaning schedules, temperature checks, and allergen controls.

Manage stock control, supplier relationships, and kitchen budgeting.

Train, develop, and support a professional kitchen team.

Ensure all Health & Safety policies are followed, including COSHH.

Ideal Requirements for the Role:
Previous experience as a Head Chef, ideally 2 years.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Up to date Level 3 (or higher) Food Safety & Hygiene certification.

In depth knowledge of Health & Safety policies, COSHH and allergen regulations.

A passion for quality food and kitchen cleanliness.

Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.
