ICA Technician (Water)

Carry out planned preventive maintenance on electrical/electronic equipment and updating records relating to this on the CMMS.
First level fault diagnosis.
Rectifying electrical equipment failures and faults.
Testing, inspecting, calibrating and certification of electrical instrumentation and equipment.
Minor electrical installation work, including modifying existing systems and installing new ones.
Working on PLC/Telemetry control systems.
Working with complex electrical control systems and the equipment that operates these systems.
Interpret/modify electrical schematic drawings.
Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary administration requests.
Liaise and working with contractors and other MUA staff.
Carry out other reasonable duties assigned to you by your supervisor/manager.
Comply with the authority’s policies and procedures.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
Minimum qualifications: Time served craftsman with City and Guilds Electrical (parts 1 & 2) 16th Edition.
Experience working with both PLC and telemetry systems in a related field.
Understand fundamental control and instrumentation philosophies.
Experience with working on process control equipment.
Computer literate.
The ability to work with contractors and consultants for delivering varied projects.
Working as a member of a team to achieve a common purpose.
Interpersonal communication skills.
