Isle of Man Post Office is seeking to recruit temporary Post Persons at our Douglas Sorting Office - these positions are for a period of 12 months.
Various work patterns are available however successful candidates must be available for weekend working, either on a rota basis (combination of weekdays and weekends) or Saturday and Sunday only (no weekdays).
Full training will be offered to the successful candidates. We are looking for people who have: good communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, flexibility, self-motivation and shows initiative, the ability to work quickly and accurately. The possession of a full manual driving licence is essential (not on R plates). The role involves: driving an IOMPO vehicle, loading and unloading vehicles, lifting and transporting mail items up to 30kg, collecting, sorting preparing and delivering mail, use of a PDA to scan items accurately.
