Drainage & Groundwork Contractors Ltd is a leading construction and project management company committed to delivering high quality projects across the Isle of Man. We are seeking an experienced Senior Drainage Technician to join our dedicated team.


Role Description:

We are looking for an experienced foreman to oversee construction projects, manage on site teams, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive construction knowledge, and a proven track record of successfully managing projects in compliance with Isle of Man regulations.


Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews, subcontractors and other personnel.
Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with Health & Safety.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and construction plans.
Monitor progress, resolve on site issues and report updates to project managers.
Train and mentor team members to enhance productivity and skills.
Maintain accurate records of work progress, incidents and material usage.


Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a foreman or similar supervisory role in construction.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods and materials..
Proven Ability to lead and motivate teams.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Familiarity with Isle of Man Health & Safety Act.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Additional certifications are a plus.
SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
CITB Manager certification.
First Aid/CPR.
Asbestos Aware.
IOSH - Managing Safely.
NRSWA Operative.
Construction Certification Card (CSCS).
