We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our Kitchen Team. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, thrive under pressure, and maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety while delivering creative, fresh, and locally inspired menus.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Work efficiently in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Prepare, cook, and present dishes within the Kitchen to a high standard.
Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
Ensure full compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
Maintain cleaning schedules, temperature checks, and allergen controls.
Assist in managing stock control, supplier relationships, and kitchen budgeting.
Ensure all Health & Safety policies are followed, including COSHH.
Ideal Requirements for the Role:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef, ideally 2 years.
Up to date Level 3 (or higher) Food Safety & Hygiene certification.
In depth knowledge of Health & Safety policies, COSHH and allergen regulations.
A passion for quality food and kitchen cleanliness.
Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.
