Peel Taxis is launching a brand-new, dedicated Ply for Hire taxi service to exclusively serve the Peel community and the wider West Coast area. We are building a team of professional and reliable drivers to be the backbone of this operation.

Home Base Operation (West Coast Residents): If you live in the Peel or West Coast area, your vehicle can be parked at your home. This means zero commute to a central depot, saving you time and fuel every day. Highly Competitive Commission Structure: We offer a highly competitive percentage of your gross takings. Our goal is to ensure your hard work is fairly and substantially rewarded. Vehicle Provided (Maximise Your Take-Home Pay): We supply the car (modern, clean, and fully licensed) and cover all associated vehicle costs, including licensing, testing, and maintenance. This dramatically reduces your overheads, meaning a greater share of the fare goes directly to you. Street Hail Flexibility: As a licensed Ply for Hire service, you can legally accept street hails in the Northwest District, giving you maximum earning potential from passing trade, in addition to pre-booked fares. Peel-Focused Work: Dedicated runs in and around Peel, including local appointments, shopping trips, and essential airport/ferry transfers from the West. Flexibility: Opportunities available for various shifts, including early mornings and late nights, with advance bookings often handled digitally.

Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for A "People Person": Friendly, professional, and with a commitment to high customer service standards. You must also have West Coast Knowledge: a strong familiarity with Peel, Patrick, Glen Maye, St John's, and the surrounding areas (essential for the Knowledge Test).

MANDATORY LICENSING & EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS (IOM RTLC & Work Permit):
Applicants must meet the following basic criteria to be considered for employment: Isle of Man Employment Status (must be a Manx Worker or hold a valid Work Permit); Minimum Age (21 years of age or over); Driving Experience (a full driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months); Conviction Disclosure (must disclose all spent and unspent criminal convictions and cautions—applicants with recent serious offences are unlikely to be licensed by the RTLC); Residency (if living outside the IOM/UK for over 3 months in the last 5 years, a Certificate of Good Conduct is required); and finally, you must obtain a valid Isle of Man PPV Licence which requires passing a Medical and the Knowledge Test.
