Deputy Manager

Sunnydale Care Home is seeking a Deputy Manager to join our compassionate team in delivering high quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

To work alongside and support the Manager in the overall management of the home and to be the person responsible in the manager's absence.
To be on shift as part of the care team and as per Rota. You wil be required to work some weekends.
To be "on-call" to cover emergencies arising in the home, on an alternate weekly/daily basis.
To assist in preparing Duty Rota in absence of manager.
To ensure that al risk assessments are carried out and supported by all staff to safeguard residents.
To ensure that the home complies with al Health & Safety regulations.
To ensure that all duties undertaken by seniors, care assistants and domestic staff are performed to the require standards, and that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the home and creation of the right atmosphere.
Assist with daily activities, including mobility, meals, and social engagement.
Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team.
Maintain accurate records and follow care home procedures.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a senior care role.
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care would be desirable.
Compassionate, dependable and able to work independently.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine interest in supporting older people.
