Temporary Bookkeeper (Fixed term)

Cayman National Trust Company (Isle of Man) Limited is seeking a Temporary Bookkeeper who will be responsible for supporting our finance operations during a busy period.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director with supervision by the Senior Client Accountant, the Temporary Bookkeeper will support the trust company’s financial operations by maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and assisting with Value Added Tax submissions. This role ensures compliance with Isle of Man financial regulations and internal policies, while liaising effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver timely and reliable financial reporting.

The essential functions and role responsibilities are to maintain accurate financial records and ledgers, process invoices, receipts, and payments, reconcile bank statements and accounts, prepare financial reports ad hoc as required, support Value Added Tax submissions, liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed and ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies.

Relevant professional certifications are advantageous, but not essential. Knowledge of industry best practice and the regulatory environment is required. Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, proficiency in accounting software (e.g., VT Transactions and Xero), strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy, good organizational and time management skills, ability to work independently and meet deadlines and knowledge of Isle of Man financial regulations is an advantage.

It is a fixed term position for 2 months, full time hours but some flexible working considerations can be offered.
