Our client seeks a Group Financial Controller to join their finance team. This is a key control function for Manx, Irish, and Bahamian regulatory authorities, offering an opportunity to make a significant impact at Group level. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the Finance team, driving continuous improvement. Lead and oversee timely delivery of all regulatory, statutory, management, and Stock Exchange reporting. Group Annual Report & Accounts, including audit relationships and senior stakeholder engagement. Subsidiary financial statements. Regulatory returns for Isle of Man FSA, Central Bank of Ireland, Insurance Commission of the Bahamas, Labuan FSA, and Japan FSA. Group and subsidiary management accounts. Expenditure monitoring with detailed variance analysis. Draft Board and Committee papers for the CFO. Lead and oversee annual and half-yearly external audit cycles. Manage annual budget and reforecast cycle; present to the Board. Oversee corporate and sales tax compliance, treasury, and cash management. Support Group solvency and capital management requirements. Contribute to key corporate projects and strategic initiatives. Own financial risk management, ensuring compliance with risk appetite metrics. Maintain and enhance the financial control framework through testing, reporting, and assurance. Key Skills & Experience: Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with relevant industry experience. Minimum 10 years' experience in a finance function or statutory audit role, ideally within financial services. Previous Life Insurance / Investments industry experience. Strong, up-to-date knowledge of IFRS. Proven people management and leadership experience, with ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams. Ability to manage competing priorities, balancing leadership with hands-on delivery. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint) with ability to produce executive-level reports and presentations. Strong communication skills across all stakeholder levels, including auditors and Board. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
