Motiv8 is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by substance misuse. We provide compassionate, evidence-based services that empower people to create safer, healthier, and more stable lives. Our team is passionate about making a real difference, and we are now seeking a Family Service Support Worker to join our service on a 12 month fixed-term maternity cover contract.
The Role:
As a Family Service Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children and families affected by substance misuse. You will:
Provide 1-to-1 support, guidance, and interventions to children, Help families understand the impact of substance misuse and build strategies for resilience and recovery, Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including social care, schools, health services, and community groups, Carry out assessments and develop personalised support plans, Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding processes.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is empathetic, organised, and committed to improving outcomes for children and families. You will have:
Experience working with vulnerable children, families, or adults. Understanding of substance misuse, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to manage a caseload and work independently. Confidence working with multi-agency partners. Hold a clean driving license.
