Deputy Manager

Your role will be to work directly with children as part of the staff team and to also support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery and to act as Manager in their absence. You will be able to Lead, motivate, and inspire our small team of staff to deliver high-quality care and education. You will support staff supervision, appraisals, and ongoing professional development and to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture. The candidate will be able to act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times and to maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children and ensuring staff understand and comply with safeguarding and welfare requirements. You will be able to support implementation of the EYFS framework across the setting, monitor and support planning, observations, and assessments and ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and play experiences as well as leading by example with excellent practice in the rooms.
In this position you will support staff to meet the individual needs of all children, work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals, support children with additional needs and inclusion plans. Our applicant will be able to build strong, professional relationships with families, deal with parent queries and concerns sensitively and effectively whilst Promoting open communication and partnership working. Support with staff rotas, ratios, and attendance, and assist with policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance, and prepare for inspections and quality assurance visits.
