Front of house washing up & bar assistant

Vibe is a small, busy plant?based café and restaurant looking for a reliable Front of House Wash?Up & Drinks Assistant. The role involves using our front?of?house dishwasher to clean plates, cutlery and glasses, as well as washing pots, pans and utensils by hand in the kitchen sink alongside two chefs in a very compact space. You will also assist with drinks preparation, including making fresh juices, preparing soft drinks to a high standard, making cocktails and opening wine bottles, so you must be of legal age to handle alcohol.

Our wash?up and drinks station is located on a raised walkway overlooking the restaurant, meaning you will be visible to customers and will interact with them as they pass. Friendly communication, confidence and good presentation are important. You will also help clear and reset tables and maintain a clean, organised environment throughout service. The role requires strong spatial awareness, the ability to move quickly and safely in tight areas, and the initiative to work without constant instruction. High standards of cleanliness and pride in your work are essential.

End?of?shift duties include emptying bins and recycling, sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces and cleaning out the dishwasher. Previous hospitality experience is required.

This is a flexible?hours role with shifts allocated weekly. You will be needed for evening shifts between Wednesday and Saturday, usually starting at 6pm for around four hours, with one to three shifts per week. Additional shifts may become available as trade increases with our new menu launch, and occasional Sunday or Saturday lunchtime shifts may also be required.
