Our client is a boutique commercial law practice advising international clients on complex commercial, technology and software matters. The practice is recognised for its depth in IT and digital transactions and its hands-on, solution-driven approach. They are seeking a top-tier commercial attorney to join their commercial and technology practice. This role is suited to an experienced, commercially astute lawyer who enjoys sophisticated drafting and negotiation work, direct client engagement, and operating with a high degree of autonomy. The Role The successful candidate will play a senior, matter-leading role within the practice, working closely with and reporting to the firm's directors on high-value and complex transactions while also managing their own matters independently. You will be trusted to exercise sound legal and commercial judgment, contribute meaningfully to strategic decision-making on matters, and deliver clear, pragmatic advice to clients. Key Responsibilities:Leading and managing commercial and technology-focused legal matters from instruction through to conclusion Engaging directly with local and multinational clients, including senior executives and in-house legal teams Reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and advising on a broad range of technology and commercial agreements, including: Software development and licensing agreements SaaS, IaaS, and cloud services agreements Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Order Forms, and EULAs Non-Disclosure Agreements and ancillary commercial documentation Share Purchase agreements Identifying, analysing, and clearly articulating legal and commercial risk in technology-driven transactions Supporting directors in complex, strategic, or multi-jurisdictional matters Contributing to the development of the firm's precedents, knowledge base, and technical excellence Liaising with external attorneys, counsel, and other professional advisers where required Mentoring and providing guidance to junior attorneys Any other matters required by the directors from time to time Key Skills & ExperienceAdmitted Attorney At least 5-10 years' post-qualification experience, with strong exposure to commercial law and technology-related matters Demonstrable experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and IT agreements Solid understanding of intellectual property principles in a commercial and software context Knowledge of data protection and privacy frameworks...
