Network Engineer - (Mobile Voice Core) Sector: Telecommunications / Network Engineering Our client is seeking a Network Engineer (Mobile Voice Core) to support and develop the systems responsible for delivering mobile and IP based voice services across their network. This role focuses on maintaining the voice core environment including IMS platforms, VoIP services and voice interconnects with other telecom operators. You will play a key role in ensuring reliable voice services while helping introduce new communication technologies. This role can be based in the Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain mobile voice core and IMS platformsSupport mobile voice, VoIP and SIP based communication servicesMonitor network performance and troubleshoot issues affecting call routing and voice qualitySupport roaming services and voice interconnects with other telecom providersMaintain systems supporting services such as voicemail, SMS and voice routingAssist with the deployment of new voice services including cloud voice and Microsoft Teams integrationParticipate in network upgrades, expansion projects and vendor discussionsAssist with security monitoring and incident response within the voice network environmentParticipate in an on call rota supporting the operational networkKey Skills and ExperienceExperience working with telecom voice platforms or mobile core networksKnowledge of IMS, VoIP or SIP based servicesUnderstanding of telecom signalling protocols including SIP, Diameter or SS7Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skillsKnowledge of IP networking environmentsExperience working within a telecom service provider environment would be beneficialStrong communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders This role may suit candidates currently working as:IMS EngineerVoice Network EngineerVoIP EngineerCore Network EngineerTelecoms Network Engineer
