Groundworks Ganger

Supervise and coordinate a team of groundworkers on site.
Read and interpret drawings and site plans.
Ensure all work is completed in line with project specifications and deadlines.
Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times.
Liaise with site managers, engineers, and other trades.
Carry out hands-on groundwork duties when required (drainage, kerbing, concreting, ducting, etc.).
Essential Requirements / Tickets:
Valid CSCS Card (Gold or Black – Skilled Worker / Supervisor level).
SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – mandatory.
First Aid at Work Certificate – preferred / often required.
CPCS or NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper Ticket.
CPCS or NPORS 360 Excavator Ticket (above and/or below 10 tonnes preferred).
Manual Handling Certificate.
Confined Spaces Certificate (advantageous depending on works).
Experience:
Proven experience working as a Groundworks Ganger or in a supervisory groundwork role.
Strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, and external works.
Ability to lead a team and manage workload effectively.
Personal Attributes:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Reliable and punctual.
Safety-conscious with a proactive approach.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
