The role:
We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our central reporting team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing cover during a planned period of absence. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad, hands-on experience across management accounting, group reporting, statutory accounts, and audit within a multi-jurisdictional construction environment.
Operating across the UK, Isle of Man, and Jersey, you will take ownership of core management accounting cycles while supporting group consolidation, statutory reporting, and external audit coordination. The role offers exposure to complex projects, cross-border entities, and senior stakeholders—ideal for someone looking to add value quickly while further developing their technical and commercial expertise.
What you will do:
Management Accounting.
Ad-hoc Reporting & Analysis.
Statutory Reporting.
Audit Coordination.
Process & Controls Improvement.
What you will have:
Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (first-time passes preferred).
0–2 years’ post-qualified experience in audit, group reporting, or management accounting.
Strong technical knowledge of FRS102 and UK GAAP.
Exposure to construction or project-based accounting (e.g. WIP, percentage of completion) is desirable but not essential.
Advanced Excel skills (including PivotTables, Power Query, and complex formulas).
Familiarity with data/BI tools and an interest in leveraging digital or AI tools to improve reporting efficiency.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and non-finance teams.
Proactive and solutions-focused, with a strong sense of ownership.
Adaptable and resilient, able to manage priorities across a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
This role is particularly well suited to a recently qualified accountant looking to build a well-rounded skill set across financial reporting in a complex, international environment.
