Accountant – Business Doctor Limited (Isle of Man):
Business Doctor Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our team in the Isle of Man. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the financial operations for a diverse portfolio of businesses spanning the Isle of Man, South Africa, and Europe.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chartered professional with international experience looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional environment.
The Role:
As our Accountant, you will take ownership of financial reporting and compliance across our various international entities. Your ability to navigate complex tax environments—specifically within the South African market—is critical to our continued success. This role includes the requirement for occasional international travel to support our operations in South Africa and Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and prepare management accounts for companies in the Isle of Man, South Africa, and Europe.
Ensure full compliance with South African accounting practices and SARS regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
Coordinate with local authorities and partners in all operating jurisdictions.
Provide insightful financial analysis to support business decision-making.
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, and statutory requirements for assigned entities.
International Travel: Willingness and ability to travel internationally to our overseas office locations as required by business needs.
Requirements:
Chartered Accountant qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CA(SA), or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
Essential: In-depth knowledge of South African accounting standards and practical experience dealing with SARS.
Strong understanding of cross-border financial reporting and multi-currency accounting.
Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines across different time zones.
Excellent attention to detail and high proficiency in accounting software.
Package & Benefits:
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Leave: 20 days of paid annual holiday.
Location: Based in the Isle of Man, with international travel required.
