Staying Connected

While the Isle of Man may be sat in the middle of the Irish Sea, it does not suffer from being out of the loop! We have extensive broadband throughout the Island and a number of wi-fi hotspots.

TV

Don't worry about missing out on the latest football match or the 'Great British Bake Off', the Isle of Man has access to all the UK's terrestrial (BBC, ITV, Channel 4) and satellite services, Sky and Freeview.

Newspapers

All UK daily papers are available for sale in the Isle of Man from early morning on the date of their publication. The Isle of Man also has its own three titles which are all produced by Isle of Man Newspapers: The Isle of Man Examiner, the Manx Independent and the Isle of Man Courier, a free newspaper distributed to every household and business.

Radio

You can get access to all the major UK radio stations as well as sample the Island's news and culture through the three local radio stations: Manx Radio; Energy FM and 3FM.

Internet

The Isle of Man has an excellent internet network, with speeds up to 80Mbps download and 10Mbps upload. There have been huge investments into fibre optic technology and improved services for local customers. Broadband is available through a number of local providers.

Phone Networks

Isle of Man phone numbers work the same way as the UK with its own area codes. The Island also utilises the UK's international dial code (+44).

The Isle of Man has its own set of telecoms service providers so you will need to pick up a new landline number and mobile phone SIM card when you move.

Please note that the Isle of Man is designated as a roaming destination by UK and overseas mobile operators so anyone using their UK or overseas mobile phone will be liable for roaming charges when making a voice call or accessing data.
