Complex Needs Learning Disabilities Care Support Worker (24 Hours per Week)

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Complex Needs Learning Disabilities Care Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
This rewarding role involves supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives while promoting choice, dignity, inclusion, and wellbeing. You will work closely with individuals who may have learning disabilities, autism, communication difficulties, mental health needs, behaviours of concern, or physical disabilities.
Every day is different, and you will play a vital role in helping the people we support achieve their goals, develop life skills, access their communities, and maintain meaningful relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver person-centred care and support in line with individual care plans.
Support individuals with daily living activities, including personal care where required.
Promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect at all times.
Assist with medication administration following company policies and training.
Support individuals to access community activities, appointments, education, and employment opportunities.
Encourage participation in social, recreational, and leisure activities.
Maintain accurate records and complete relevant documentation.
Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately.
Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
Support positive behaviour approaches and risk management plans where required.

Essential:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate, patient, and professional approach.
Flexible availability to work weekends.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
Previous experience in learning disabilities, autism, mental health, or complex care settings.
NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards one).
Experience providing positive behaviour support to individuals with complex needs.
Medication administration training.
