Manx Automobile Assistance is a trusted vehicle recovery and roadside assistance provider serving customers across the Isle of Man. We pride ourselves on delivering a professional, reliable, and customer-focused service 24 hours a day.

We are looking for a calm, organised, and proactive Control Room Operator to join our growing team. You will be the first point of contact for customers requiring roadside assistance and recovery services, ensuring that help is dispatched quickly, efficiently, and professionally.

The Role:

As a Control Room Operator, you will play a vital role in coordinating our roadside assistance and recovery operations. You will manage incoming calls, liaise with customers and recovery technicians, dispatch the appropriate resources, and monitor jobs through to completion.
This position requires excellent communication skills, strong decision-making abilities, and the confidence to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer and manage incoming calls from customers requiring roadside assistance and vehicle recovery.
Coordinate and dispatch recovery operators and technicians to incidents across the Isle of Man.
Monitor the progress of active jobs and provide updates to customers where required.
Ensure accurate recording of all customer and job information.
Maintain detailed logs and operational records.
Communicate effectively with drivers, technicians, customers, and business partners.
Prioritise workload and respond quickly to changing situations.
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the control room.
Assist with general administration duties including filing, invoicing, and data entry.
Contribute to continuous improvements within the business and support new operational processes when required.
