Knitwear Product Developer

Concept Development - collaborate with designers to translate initial sketches and ideas into feasible products.
Conduct research and be proactive in suggesting possible development to client.
Material Sourcing - work with suppliers to buy yarn and negotiate prices.
Technical Development - ensure that the tech packs are clear and comprehensive for Albion to follow.
Collaborate with the Stoll Programming Team on all product development sent by clients, ensuring all requirements are understood and acted upon.
Create costing sheets to determine pricing for clients. Analyse product costs and work to keep them within budget while maintaining quality.
Oversee product checks during the development, pre-production, and bulk production stages to ensure client specifications are met.
Ensure all necessary information for client invoicing is provided to the finance department promptly for timely invoicing.
Create comprehensive range plans, including pictures, yarn details, garment weight, gauge, machine, total quantity ordered, and any other relevant information.
Order all necessary items listed on the Bill of Materials (BOMs) according to client requirements.
Liaise with yarn suppliers to obtain yarn prices, sample yarn, and bulk yarn.
Communicate any potential intellectual property (I.P.) infringements to the production staff.
Take receipt of and distribute all client Purchase Contracts and Purchase Order forms to relevant internal staff.
Issue production instructions to the manufacturing departments.
Communicate specific packing requirements from clients to the packing department.
Stay up to date with yarn and knitwear trends and relay this information to clients during meetings.
Create development swatches and prototypes to present to clients to generate additional business.
Handle general administration duties required for all launches, including record-keeping, mainly using Excel.
