WORKS MANAGER – CIVILS & BUILDING

CCJ Group Limited is a growing and ambitious construction and civil engineering company delivering a wide range of projects as Principal Contractor across the Isle of Man, including Building Projects, Civil Engineering, Drainage, Demolition, Earthworks, Infrastructure, Utilities, and Refurbishment Projects.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Works Manager with a strong background across both civils and building projects to join our senior team.
This is not a desk-only management role. We are looking for someone practical, experienced, and confident — someone who understands construction from the ground up and can lead teams, organise operations, maintain standards, and help drive the business forward.
The ideal candidate will:
Have strong experience within the construction industry.
Come from either a trades, engineering, plant, or machinery background.
Be confident managing men, subcontractors, and site operations.
Understand civils, drainage, earthworks, foundations, and general building works.
Be highly organised and capable of managing multiple live operations.
Be driven, motivated, and capable of working within a fast-paced environment.
Be safety-focused, quality-focused, and commercially aware.
Lead by example and maintain high standards across the business.
Work closely with senior management to support long-term business growth.
Help build, develop, and strengthen teams within an increasingly challenging labour market.
CCJ operates its own fleet of machinery, wagons, quarry operations, tools, and labour force, so we need someone who can organise practical operations efficiently while maintaining professionalism and control throughout delivery.
