Onchan District Commissioners delivers a wide range of services to its residents, businesses and visitors. We are seeking an exceptional and experienced leader to join our senior management team as Deputy Clerk. The Deputy Clerk will provide leadership across the Authority, working closely with elected Members, senior officers and external partners to ensure services are delivered efficiently, effectively and in accordance with the highest standards of governance. The Deputy Clerk will also, when required, deputise for the Chief Executive/Clerk, undertaking delegated responsibilities associated with the role of Clerk to the Board of Commissioners. Experience within local government or another public sector organisation would be advantageous, together with an understanding of democratic governance and working within a political environment.
