Accounts Assistant – 30 Hours per Week.
Comis Hotel & Golf Resort – Santon, Isle of Man.
Department: Finance.
Hours: 30 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
We are looking for an experienced and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including bank reconciliations, purchase ledger, supplier payments and maintaining accurate accounting records.
Key Responsibilities
Daily bank and system reconciliations.
Processing supplier invoices and reconciling supplier accounts.
Preparing weekly and monthly payment batches.
Investigating cash and card variances.
Maintaining control accounts and finance spreadsheets.
Preparing journals and posting accounting entries.
Ensuring financial controls and procedures are followed.
About You
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, bookkeeping or similar finance role.
Strong bookkeeping and reconciliation experience.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles and VAT.
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
Good Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience using accounting software; Sage Intacct would be advantageous.
Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
